    These positions are responsible for providing excellent customer service to customers, maintaining a well-stocked, clean and organized sales floor and assist in restocking and merchandising of the retail store on an as needed basis. The external customers include but are not limited to Council membership for the tristate area, visitors to the national office and internal customers. Join us on our exciting journey to make a significant difference for our parents, volunteers, councils, and most importantly, our girls.



    Our Staff Are:


    • Brand ambassadors of the Girl Scout movement - the shop and staff are reflections of the Girl Scout brand to the visitors of the National Office.
    • Customer focused by consistently exercising good judgement throughout your tasks.
    • Solution oriented and will to find the answer and promptly respond to customer questions. 

    You Will

    • Provide outstanding customer service.
    • Assist in the operational functions of the store including operating point of sale, daily sales reporting and general maintenance of the store.
    • Assist in the overall store merchandising execution to create Girl Scout brand awareness and drive sales through thoughtful and effective displays.
    • Be involved in stock control through assisting in regular cycle counts and any annual inventory(s).
    • Assist in the execution of several shop seasonal events to drive additional traffic and sales to the HQ shop.

    You Need


    • At least 1-2 years of retail associate experience.
    • Knowledge about the Girl Scouts.
    • Appropriate computer skills including basic office suite programs – Word, Excel and Retail Point of Sales Systems experience.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Solid decision making and problem solving skills; must exercise good judgement.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


    Working Hours and Environment:



    • This positions are part-time with a 21 hour work week on average.
    • The shifts schedule will fluctuate in regards to times of day and days of week.
    • The store is open daily, which requires early morning and evening flexibility as well as occasional availability for events and overtime as needed. (Store hours subject to change.)
    • As a customer facing part of the organization, the position requires wearing Girl Scout adult uniform components that will be provided upon hire.
    • This environment is a retail store and requires ability to stand for periods of time, stock shelves and lift up to 25 pounds.
