The PMO at GSUSA is responsible for managing the portfolio of programs and projects to deliver successful business outcomes aligned to the enterprise strategic goals and objectives. We are looking to hire a Senior Director of the Project Management Office to lead a team of Program Managers and Project Managers responsible for aligning strategic objectives and tactical demands of our business architecture. This position is critical to building and implementing cross-functional integration to achieve top priority initiative performance goals. This role reports to the Chief Enterprise Integration Officer Girl Scouts of the USA. This position could be the right fit for you if you are a:

  • People Manager, experienced people manager and program manager to manage a team of senior program managers and senior PMO managers to transform Girl Scouts’ business execution.
  • Influencer, excel at managing stakeholder expectations while achieving deliverables.
  • Data-driven, lead with a results-oriented approach with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders.

You Will

  • Manage a team of project and program managers to partner with key business stakeholders to understand their objectives and develop project portfolios that help them meet and exceed those objectives.
  • Define an integrated enterprise business architecture and implement systems integration
  • Partner with the CEO, COO, CIO, and other Executive Team members
  • Establish and drive standardized strategic partnership management processes across the enterprise, a transformational change to the Girl Scouts’ business model
  • Drive the full lifecycle planning and management of multiple projects to ensure they are delivered on-time with the expected results. This includes:
    • Build and maintain a program roadmap that is integrated cross-functionally, across the other top priority initiatives, and across the enterprise.
    • Prepare and communicate program progress/status reports for senior and executive management review.
    • Identify risks and issues and develop mitigation and escalation strategies for stakeholders and senior leadership in a timely manner.
  • Establish use of industry best practices to advance the effectiveness and efficiency of the PMO, including program management, project portfolio management, resource management, partner management, and change management.

You Need

  • 15+ years of combined program and project management experience. At least 3-5 years’ experience building high-performing teams from the ground up; decisive leadership; the ability to coach teams to execute and perform at high levels on priority work impacting enterprise
  • PMP certification required or equivalent experience
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is strongly preferred
  • Expertise implementing business architecture (workflow processes; business systems, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of the product and SDLC lifecycle;; experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies; Scrum Master or Product Owner certification preferred
  • Proven track record of integrating projects at an enterprise level and driving integration throughout enterprise
  • Proven track record managing multiple projects in the context of matrixed teams
  • Demonstrated change management and business transformation skills.
  • Foundational knowledge of databases, data processing, mapping, reporting, and business intelligence
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, and other Cloud Management Platforms is preferred
  • Expertise in Microsoft Project and Visio
