We are seeking to hire a Senior Inventory Management Analyst that will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and forecasting Girl Scout Merchandise (GSM) inventories. The incumbent compiles and analyzes sales statistics, sales trend data, membership statistics and other sales data across multiple sales channels to determine the impact of future sales and promotions. Join us on our exciting journey to make a significant difference for our parents, volunteers, councils, and most importantly, our girls.

 

You Are:

  • Curious and thorough at monitoring and forecasting sales of individual products using trend and seasonality.
  • Consistent and accurate in your research methodologies with respect to sales history and comparable product analysis.
  • Advanced in your analytical approach, organizational skills and Excel skills to support the successful management of product inventory levels.

You Will

  • Work closely with the merchandise buyers and vendors to see and understand new products as they are developed from concepts to a pre-production samples.
  • Create and update product sales forecasts by color/size to develop appropriate inventory plans.
  • Identify surplus inventory and recommend corrective actions to minimize negative margin impact.
  • Create recommended purchase orders.

You Need

  • A Bachelor’s degree in retail, business or related area or equivalent relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in multi-channel inventory forecasting/planning.
  • Demonstrated high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiar with inventory planning systems.
  • Experience in retail planning and merchandising is a plus.
  • Experience working with a children’s brand and apparel is strongly preferred.
