About Us

As a Membership Retention Specialist, you will be responsible for mapping our full customer life-cycle and paths of engagement. You will be the in-house expert on recruitment, retention and reengagement strategies. You analyze membership trends and proactively work to share effective practices around the country and minimize membership attrition.

You Are:

  • Results oriented - Skilled at collecting, assessing and using data in all decision making. 

You Will

  • Provide expertise on improving renewal processes and systems that provide the best customer experience for girls and volunteers.
  • Work closely with our Girl Scout Research Institute and Marketing Unit to identify the ideal customer type, and how to best reach and retain those members.
  • Partner with councils to target best potential member markets.
  • Works collaboratively with team members and council staff to co-create solutions that meet the needs of the organization at both the national and local levels.
  • Manage vendor relationships that support the volunteer onboarding and renewal processes.
  • Work with the Marketing team to create and implement national recruitment campaign based on renewal strategy.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities and tight deadlines.

You Need

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a membership or youth service organization with proven experience in developing strategies for recruiting and retaining volunteers in multiple market segments.
  • Field experience in an “affiliate” environment accountable for implementing adult initiatives - Girl Scout council experience a plus.
  • Experience in using technology effectively including Customer Relationship Management tools like Salesforce, as well as technology tools that provide cutting edge communication, support and learning to adults
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing, building and maintaining partnerships and relationships in a consulting role.
