About Us

The Vice President, Digital Products and Technologies, for the Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) works at the intersection of technology and business innovation, customer experiences, and participatory media, with a mission to design, create, deploy, and assess tools and products that support and foster ongoing GSUSA engagement and the flow of information within and across G.I.R.L. communities. This role will report directly to the CIO, and be a critical thought leader within GSUSA and the movement at large. They will manage staff and have strong partnership at all levels within the organization.  This role will have a dotted line reporting relationship to the COO for the digital user experience initiative. 


The Vice President, Digital Products and Technologies is responsible for the overarching digital technology strategy, online services across web, mobile and social platforms and oversight of enterprise content, applications and infrastructure.  They will also be responsible for organizing, managing and leading the efforts of the full life cycle of web development/deployment and to serve as the primary interface between stakeholders, particularly the Vice President, Marketing and Communications. 

You Will

  • Guide the strategy, experience design and development of digital tools, commerce, media, data products and services.
  • Work closely with research, operations, marketing and girl experience experts; including use of applied technology to improve GSUSA services with lower costs, higher quality digital customer engagements, Omni-Channel/eCommerce, and a connected alumni network.
  • Build and manage cross community user experience teams to help upgrade and connect council infrastructure.
  • Review project deliverables, including shared Adobe platform for, council websites and Volunteer tool kit.
  • Support internal business partners in identifying, developing and executing digital-based programs.
  • Establish and instill best practices for all Girl Scouts digital and eCommerce products including end-user feedback, key performance tracking, business partner procedures and technical partnership processes.

You Need

  • E-commerce and transactional expertise. The focus here is on driving traffic, conversion and revenue with ecommerce, such as e-tailers and manufacturers that move to direct sales.
  • Online marketing, IoT and social commerce expertise. Building brand activation and consumer engagement on behalf of a timeless brand.
  • Transformative product and technology capabilities (i.e., analog to digital). Product Design, Agile change management capabilities that can impact the whole company.
  • Technical acumen Experience with enterprise, multi-site digital and commerce platforms, managing and liaising with development and creative teams.
  • Setting strategy. With the digital landscape evolving so quickly, excellent strategic skills, with the ability to chart the right course and make agile alterations when needed.
  • Executing for results. Strategic insight must be coupled with a strong execution orientation and an ability to deliver results despite the complex and fluid environment.
  • Building relationships, eminence and using influence. The Vice President, Digital Products and Technologies, must be able to build eminence and relationships across all levels and functions of the organization—from the Board down to the front line—and effectively manage conflict.
  • 15 plus years of industry experience
