  • About Us

    We are seeking to hire a Merchandising Production Coordinator responsible for providing support to the Girl Scout Merchandise Advertising and eCommerce team. The Advertising Specialist is responsible for preparing all merchandise for photography, maintaining and updating production schedules for all media tools, proofreading, editing and distributing advertising materials. In addition, this person assists the Advertising and eCommerce Support Specialist in preparing for the Girl Scout catalog photo shoot and all other merchandise shoots.

    You Will

    • Review layouts and copy for all advertising and promotional materials, including but not limited to catalogs, brochures and flyers.
    • Proofread copy in all stages of development paying close attention to details such as product numbers, prices and relationship of copy and product.
    • Assist in organizing Girl Scout merchandise for photo shoots by working with Buying Department, purchasing merchandise from the New Jersey Distribution Center or from the headquarters store.
    • Identify priorities and work to meet strict deadlines, adapting to shifting priorities and unanticipated deadlines.
    • Partner with buying and sales departments in developing a sales tool for all major advertising materials, reviews online photography and is often called upon to act as liaison between advertising department, photographer and ad agencies.
    • Work closely with the Senior Manager, providing support and assistance in contract preparation and submission, invoice processing, meeting planning and special projects as assigned.
    • Work with other GSUSA departments including but not limited to Buying, Legal, Purchasing, Properties and Girl Experience.

    You Need

    • A bachelor’s degree in Communications/Advertising or related field plus/or equivalent relevant experience.
    • A minimum 3 years in Retail Advertising and or agency experience.
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop and Content Management System (CMS).
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
    • Time management skills.
    • To be be detailed oriented, especially when proofreading.
    • The ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
