  • About Us

    We are looking for high-energy, enthusiastic, versatile Project Managers, with a product-management mindset, to plan and lead projects to provide these capabilities for our constituents. Girl Scouts of the USA is advancing our digital footprint, supported by fully integrated, modern processing platforms and enterprise-wide data management solutions.

     

    The Project Managers supporting our technology projects, should be experienced and comfortable working with both technology and business teams in either an agile scrum model or more traditional waterfall model, depending on the project. They will work closely with the Senior Program Manager, Business Lead/Product Owner, Go-to-Market Manager, and Executive Sponsor, as well as software vendors and IT, to deliver the expected business outcomes. These roles will report to the Vice President Enterprise Project Management office.

    You Are

    • An excellent communicator, with effective communication - including use of clear language in documents and emails, effective verbal presentations, and ability to distill complex topics to their essence
    • A strong relationship builder that will foster collaboration and the establishment of trusted working relationships with business leaders, team members, partners, vendors and other departments involved in the project.
    • Data-driven and have results-oriented to effectively and efficiently deliver on project objectives, with the ability to bridge between business and technical stakeholders.
    • A team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves and accomplish goals and meet timelines.

    You Will

    • Plan and manage the project’s life cycle, from initiation through delivery and deployment of the finished product.
    • Manage project communications and documentation of project progress/status for both management review and key stakeholder engagement.
    • Lead regularly-scheduled project team meetings to review progress, risks, and issues and develop solutions to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Manage project-specific vendor product selections, contracts and ongoing performance and relationships.
    • Support initiative budget management through:
    • Coordinate with related projects, ensuring dependencies, priorities, and resource contention and constraints are accounted for in the plan.
    • Leverage standardized GSUSA PMO methodologies to ensure consistency.

    You Need

    • A minimum of 4 years project management experience leading teams of professionals in a matrixed structure.
    • Solid understanding of project management concepts, methods, and best practices
    • Familiarity with product management concepts and methods is a plus
    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work/educational experience
    • PMP certification or equivalent is a plus
    • Certified Scrum Master/Product Owner is a plus
    • Demonstrated experience working directly with external vendors, defining statements of work (SOW) and managing resultant vendor delivery and performance.
    • Strong expertise using MS Project and Office 365, including SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Agile Scrum Master training and experience is strongly preferred, including use of agile toolsets, such as Rally or Jira
    • Basic familiarity with technology concepts, including databases, application architecture, user interfaces, and reporting and analytics
