GSUSA is looking for a highly motivated Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with Looker who thinks outside the box – and who is a bit outside the box, much like Looker itself. The ideal candidate has it all; software engineering skills, a broad familiarity with analytic methods and tools, experience with big data challenges. You will own all aspects of our Looker technology and make it work in our dynamic environment.
Looker is a next generation business intelligence and analytics platform. Girl Scouts uses Looker as the technology of choice for data modeling, data abstraction along with visualization, dashboarding and reporting. At our national headquarters in NYC, GSUSA works in applying analytic techniques and other classification methodologies, preparing our rich data content for ad hoc and visual rendering technologies, available to then drive and enable decision making movement wide.
As a BI engineer, you will be responsible for partnering with business and analytic teams to provide guidance and help in the implementation of analytics and reports. You will consult GSUSA and Council partners in creating and recommending best practices for data modeling and consumption through Looker.
You will become familiar with the concepts of data sharing and working with partners in defining what data has value in being shared and consumed based on the myriad datasets used throughout the organization.
