    The Director, IT Development reports to the Vice President IT Programs and will lead one or more key projects with enterprise –wide significance, ensuring that schedules, resources and scope are planned and managed effectively and that the project (s) meet their performance objectives. The Director will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to ensure the project/program continues to meet the needs of GSUSA. He/she will be the primary interface between GSUSA and project vendors/partners.

    You Will

    • Plan and manage the project’s life cycle, from initiation through delivery and deployment of the finished product.
    • Manage project communications and documentation of project progress/status for both management review and key stakeholder engagement.
    • Lead regularly-scheduled project team meetings to review progress, risks, and issues and develop solutions to ensure successful project delivery.
    • Manage project-specific vendor product selections, contracts and ongoing performance and relationships.
    • Support initiative budget management through tracking team expenses, completing the appropriate invoice coding and ensuring timely and accurate invoice submission, and following-up with team members and Finance on unpaid invoices.
    • Coordinate with related projects, ensuring dependencies, priorities, and resource contention and constraints are accounted for in the plan.
    • Direct, instruct and coach assigned resources in order to meet project goals.
    • Assign specified project work to external vendors and work closely with them to ensure that they fully understand the client needs and desires, technical requirements, time and budget parameters, and expected deliverables.
    • Maintain contact with vendors and manage relationship between the vendor and various areas within GSUSA.
    • Evaluate performance of vendors and report to GSUSA executive management.
    • Leverage standardized GSUSA PMO methodologies to ensure consistency.

    You Need

    • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work/educational experience.
    • A PMP certification or equivalent a plus.
    • Experience implementing Salesforce, SAP Hybris, Mulesoft a plus.
    • 10+ years project management experience leading teams of professionals in a matrixed structure.
    • A solid understanding of project management concepts, methods, and best practices.
    • Familiarity with product management concepts and methods a plus.
    • Demonstrated experience working directly with external vendors, defining statements of work (SOW) and managing resultant vendor delivery and performance.
    • Strong expertise using MS Project and Office 365, including SharePoint, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Agile Scrum Master training and experience preferred, including use of agile toolsets, such as Rally or Jira.
    • Basic familiarity with technology concepts, including databases, application architecture, user interfaces, and reporting and analytics.
    • Experience with enterprise, multi-site digital and commerce platforms, managing and liaising with development and creative teams.
    • Excellent communication skills, including use of clear language in documents and emails, effective verbal presentations and ability to distill complex topics to their essence.
    • Strong relationship building skills that will foster collaboration and the establishment of trusted working relationships with business leaders, team members, partners, vendors and other departments involved in the project.
