    Girl Scouts is seeking a Vice President of Digital Marketing as a critical member of the Marketing organization.

    The role will report to the Deputy Chief Marketing Officer and will lead a team of 5 direct reports managing the following teams:  social media, email marketing, web marketing ( and platforms to manage 110 council sites), digital analytics and site performance, and content marketing/copy team.  We are seeking an individual with strong leadership qualities to drive engagement across channels, to grow Girl Scouts membership and ensure a relevant and powerful customer experience to ultimately drive brand value.


    Our ideal candidate has a background in technology and marketing leadership, with a mix of brand and digital expertise with the ability to effect change in a mature organization. We require knowledge around digital experience, content development and management, email marketing, data analytics and social media to align business strategy with brand strategy, marketing, technology, and data usage. 

    You Will

    • Manage 5 direct reports and full team of 25 FTE (with occasional temps) across digital marketing and analytics (content marketing, web, email, analytics and social media)Be responsible for digital marketing and alignment across team and GSUSA communities (IT, customer office, Alum, merchandise, fund development) as well as managing email and web platforms for our 112 councils across the country.
    • Build and drive execution of a measurable, customer-centric lead, acquisition and retention campaigns built from an insight-driven foundation; provide industry-leading innovation in digital strategy.
    • Develop integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across web sites, digital advertising (paid media and SEM), social media and email marketing.
    • Lead relevant content strategy that attracts new audiences across parents, volunteers, and supporters.
    • Evolve and drive customer acquisition and retention programs that include PPC, SEO/SEM, display, email/ SMS, and retargeting.
    • Oversee web properties and direct web development team on digital projects, providing leadership, guidance and a clear vision of outcomes and responsibilities as it relates to digital marketing strategy
    • Provide ongoing thought leadership regarding the role and power of digital brand experience for the Movement.
    • Orchestrate the optimal use of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Adobe Experience Manager, across GSUSA and 112 Girl Scout Councils nationally.
    • Partner with IT to prioritize support and development items.
    • Partner regularly with external support team(s) and digital agencies on both day-to-day and Work with Councils to ensure the appropriate test, control, and analytic frameworks are in place.

    You Need

    • Bachelor’s degree or masters in marketing or equivalent relevant experience.

    • A minimum 8-10 years of demonstrated experience leading digital teams for powerful consumer brands
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate and deliver a compelling vision for using content and digital channels to drive brand relevance and membership
    • Experience working across a range of media and channels – particularly video
    • Demonstrated experience managing teams working with Adobe Experience Manager, Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud
    • Eye for digital trends. Knows what works on what channel and keeps an eye on emerging digital trends/new channels
    • Strong leadership skills are absolutely required, including exemplary written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative work environment
    • Ability to prioritize based on key deliverables and organizational priorities
    • Demonstrate executive presence and professionalism in all situations
    • Proficient in MS Office
