    Girl Scouts of the USA seeking to hire a Strategy Manager  to support the Cookie Program and be responsible for strategic framing and analysis for communicating these finding to a range of stakeholders. This role will collaborate with staff throughout the organization and with our network of 112 local councils to ensure the key Cookie Projects are prioritized and supported. This roles reports to and will  partner with the VP of Cookie Strategy and Transformation to drive this work forward.

    The work of the Strategy Manager will contribute towards:

     

    • Better meeting cookie customer expectations through the development and introduction of credit card and mobile payment options (frictionless transactions).
    • Developing a more consistent product development/ assortment selection process (product portfolio management).
    • Creating a more seamless experience for volunteers and Council staff by introducing new and simplified options to manage troop funds and through supply chain simplification.

    You Will

    • Provide strategic framing, analysis, and support for key strategic efforts.
    • Develop a strategic approach, building excel based models and creating presentations that tell the story for the various pieces of the effort to sustainably grow the cookie program. This person will be instrumental in partnering with the VP of Cookie Strategy and Transformation to drive this work forward.
    • Expect “project based” work on several key initiatives, with appropriate support and team structure, depending on the specific needs of the situation.
    • Be responsible for helping to scope, plan and manage quarterly Cookie Strategy Meetings and monthly calls where leaders from across the country come together to make important decisions for the future of the program.
    • Distribute strategic framing, analysis and insight in support of key Movement-wide and for National board meetings. This work will include supporting projection and scenario analysis; strategic framing of key challenges and facilitating strategic discussions.
    • Summarize and present findings to relevant staff at GSUSA and across the Movement.
    • Communicate results and present analysis in crisp, succinct written presentations (PowerPoint) that are tailored to the needs of a senior audience.
    • Collaborate with other organization analysts and work to ensure consistency in analytical methods and definitions used in analysis.

    You Need

    • A minimum of 4+ years’ experience with analysis and strategy, preferably in either Consulting or Investment Banking. MBA strongly preferred.
    • Superior analytical abilities, team working capabilities, and result oriented nature.
    • Keen ability to take data/ information and distill this into insight.
    • Excellent “storytelling” skills, ability to craft insight into clear, logical written presentations designed for a senior audience.
    • Strong organization, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills including communicating complex information with clarity to diverse audiences, and preparing and presenting reports and other written communications to GSUSA and council stakeholders.
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; comfortable working with multiple sources of information to complete analysis.
    • Proven relationship builder based upon trust, respect, effective communication, and achievement of common goals; experience in identifying potential needs and opportunities and in fostering collaboration and support.
    • Be able to anticipate needs and is skilled in resolving current issues, and the ability to build long term solutions and roadmaps to meet the needs of the council and internal shareholders.
