    The Customer Office drives sustainable membership growth and Movement health by engaging our girls, volunteers, parents, councils, and supporters to fulfill the Girl Scout mission. The teams in this community are involved with network alignment and advancement of mission delivery strategies; driving the full lifecycle management of products, platforms and program, both digital and physical; council leadership support and training; cultivation of national partnerships that drive membership growth; and movement property strategy and support. The teams work closely with all other GSUSA communities to bring an exceptional experience to our members and to ensure a vibrant, sustainably growing movement. 

    You Will

    The Senior Manager - Girl & Adult Digital Content Strategy will own the content and delivery strategy across the Girl and Volunteer departments. This position will establish, implement, and evolve a sound content approach that will ensure a consistent voice and methodology across departments, nimble enough to evolve with the future of Girl Scouting.  

     

    Develop and maintain all content related to our Space Science badges—as outlined in the Reaching for the Stars: NASA Science for Girls grant. Including, but not limited to: partnering with external SMEs on all content related to badges; writing badge requirements for Daisy-Ambassador; writing VTK content for Daisy-Ambassador; writing, designing, and maintaining VTK Meeting Aids for Daisy-Ambassador; providing additional copy and editing support for all content related to the Reaching for the Stars: NASA Science for Girls grant. 

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Own the end-to-end content strategy for Girl and Volunteer.  
    • Design, lead and execute the vision of all digital and printed content for Girl and Volunteer departments, ensuring consistency across verticals.  
    • Integrate this vision into all new content being created.  
    • Create and own an efficient, cost effective, strategy for integrating this consistent approach into existing content. 
    • Partner on business cases made for any and all deviations from the established content vision whether it be in style, format, or overall approach.   
    • Socialize these deviations to the appropriate parties, creating informed organizational partners—prepared to defend our position internally and externally.  
    • Establish a fruitful partnership with the Chief Operations Officer and Project 2020 team to establish an actionable back/forward-forward/back approach to build a bridge between the existing and future state of our Girl and Volunteer content. 
    • Own a tiered revision plan for content, creating a container for seamless integration in the P2020 release—slowly massaging our content out of the former mold and into the to-be-established, revised approach. 
    • Partner with external subject matter experts in developing Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Space Science content for both printed badge booklets and the VTK.  
    • Provide additional copy and editing support for all content supporting and related to the Reaching for the Stars: NASA Science for Girls grant. 
    • Maintain existing Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Space Science content

    Required Competencies

    • Strategic planner with a demonstrated track-record of well-executed multi-year phased strategies within a matrixed environment 
    • Knows how to synthesize input from a range of key stakeholders 
    • Creative problem-solver and consensus-builder who can deftly manage competing expectations and creatively uses resources to deliver 
    • Knows how to manage multiple priorities   
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communicating complex information with clarity to diverse audiences  
    • Demonstrated experience utilizing Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint 

    Required Technical Skills

    Office 365 or similar suites 

    Competency in PowerPoint or similar presentation software 

    Competency in Microsoft Excel or similar software 

    You Need

     

    Degree or Equivalent Experience:  

    Bachelor’s degree in education, business or related fields, or equivalent relevant experience; 

     

    Minimum Years of Experience:   

    Five (5+) years of experience in youth-focused fields; 

    Five (5+) years of experience in content development; 

    Five (5+) years of experience in strategy development 

    Required Field of Study:  

    Education, Business, Youth Development 

    Certifications Requirements:

    Preferred Education and Experience

    Master’s or Advanced degree certification in youth development or related field a plus.
