    The Sr. Program Manager is responsible for coordinating execution of technology- and/or business-related initiatives across GSUSA HQ and a highly-distributed end-use community including Girl Scout councils. This includes mapping out end-to-end execution plans, managing the direct line of sight from requirements to solutions, working with relevant stakeholders, systems integration partners, Girl Scouts of the USA leadership and SMEs, and leadership of Girl Scout councils across the USA. This position is an experienced senior program manager who ensures that complex schedules, resources, and scopes are managed across multiple projects and performance goals are met.  This position provides consistent interface, communication, and coordination with internal cross-functional stakeholders as well as critical enterprise-wide integration.  The role requires a superior ability to influence and manage stakeholder expectations while achieving project deliverables. Flexibility, relationship management, and exceptional cross-functional collaboration are essential.



    Essential Responsibilities

    • Partner with key business stakeholders to understand their objectives and develop project portfolios that help them meet and exceed those objectives.
    • Drive the full lifecycle planning and management of multiple projects to ensure they are delivered on-time and with the expected results. This includes:
    • Creating and executing project work plans and revising as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
    • Identifying resources needed, supporting lead in assigning individual responsibilities and tracking/ monitoring completion.
    • Managing day-to-day operational aspects of initiative project and scope.
    • Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
    • Build and maintain a program roadmap that is integrated cross-functionally, across the other top priority initiatives, and across the enterprise.
    • Identify risks and issues and develop mitigation and escalation strategies for stakeholders and senior leadership in a timely manner.
    • Prepare and communicate program progress/status reports for senior and executive management review.
    • Provide any prep and pre-work support required for cross-functional project working sessions (particularly those hosted at Edith Macy Conference Center)
    • Support initiative budget management through:
    • Tracking team expenses
    • Determining appropriate invoice coding and ensuring timely and accurate invoice submission
    • Following up with team members and Finance, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices
    • Leverage standardized GSUSA PMO methodologies to ensure consistency.

    You Need

    • Degree or Equivalent Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

    • Certifications Requirements:Scrum Master Certification preferred; experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies; PMP certification or equivalent

    • Minimum Years of Experience: 7+ years’ experience
    • Project leader within larger units where another layer of coordination is required; this includes a wide range of projects from those with limited scope to projects important to the future of the organization/movement.
    • Proven track record managing multiple projects in the context of matrixed teams
    • Strong relationship building skills that will foster collaboration and the establishment of strong working relationships with business leaders, team members, partners, vendors and other departments involved in the program.
    • Data-driven and results-oriented approach with the ability to bridge the gap between business and technical stakeholders to effectively and efficiently prioritize to execute and deliver on a roadmap
    • Strong understanding of the product and SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle)
    • Foundational knowledge of databases, data processing, mapping, reporting, and business intelligence
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves and do the work is a must
    • MS Office or equivalent
    • Competency in PowerPoint or similar presentation software
    • Competency in Microsoft Excel or similar software
    • Salesforce, and other Cloud Management Platforms preferred
    • Expertise in Microsoft Project and Visio
