COMMUNITY DESCRIPTION
The Council Partnership Office, reporting to the Chief Experience Officer (CXO), drives movement wide sustainable growth and health through implementation of strategic priorities in an aligned network. The team builds strong relationships and creates empowering ways of working between and among GSUSA and council leadership to ensure movement wide collaboration, trust and success. The team ensures GSUSA is offering excellent communications and customer service to councils.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Sr VP, Council Partnership, the Director, Council Finance provides all financial oversight, analysis, and reporting of council financial data for purposes of GSUSA risk assessment and performance analysis.
In addition, they partner with Council Partnership Advisors and VP, Strategic Finance on the finance team to drive strategic direction for council financial innovative planning and forecasting to drive improvements in council future financial and business performance. This role demands a strategic thinking orientation and an innovative mindset, paired with a thorough understanding of GSUSA and councils’ various business models.
The incumbent will need to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences, an ability to apply contemporary leading practices to financial operations.

Essential Responsibilities |
Play key leadership role in development and execution of council capacity building strategy.

Provide financial expertise to Product Line and Operating Model initiative team

Provide financial expertise to the Shared Services initiative team

Partner with Senior Director Council Partnership on all council financial reporting and analysis.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES |

In partnership with the Council Partnership team, drive meaningful & frequent dialogue with Council Finance leadership in the interest of engendering a community of practice centered on long-term movement financial stability.
Involves sharing of best practices, identification of opportunities to better support councils, process standardization, reporting opportunities and development of cost optimization strategies. |

SALARY RANGE: $85,000-$140,000
This represents the present low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
